NiMet introduces training to improve weather data quality, others

The Nigerian Meteorological Company has launched a coaching programme on automated configuration of climate stations and local weather information instruments to enhance information high quality and availability.

The coaching, which started Tuesday at NiMet headquarters, is a part of the company's efforts to modernize its climate and local weather utility instruments.

In a press release on Tuesday, NiMet Director Basic and CEO Prof. Charles Anosike confused the significance of the coaching.

He said: “This coaching is according to NiMet Administration’s willpower to make sure that its personnel are adequately skilled and proficient in trendy developments in climate and local weather utility instruments.”

The programme is carried out in collaboration with Sahel Consulting beneath the Constructing Agricultural Techniques Resilience in Nigeria Challenge.
