Pro-Wike assembly gives Fubara seven-day ultimatum to resubmit 2024 budget

The Rivers State Home of Meeting led by Martin Amaewhule has given the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, a 7-day deadline to resubmit the 2024 funds.

The order was issued on Monday throughout the first session of the pro-Wike Home of Representatives after a hiatus of a number of months.

In the meantime, a parallel session is happening within the Home of Representatives by the faction led by Victor Oko-Jumbo.

Fubara had beforehand submitted the funds to the opposite Home loyal to him, chaired by his present Chief of Employees, Edison Ehie, who served as Speaker.

Ehie and the pro-Fubara lawmakers accepted the funds estimates, which the governor subsequently signed into legislation, declaring its goal to be to advertise financial growth and inclusive development and deal with socio-economic inequality within the state.
